July 23, 2003 Flo is doing really well!! She spawned so I was right for once in giving a gender related name. We are building a new tank for my office, Flo will be the first occupant. The tank is just on paper right now, I will post progress and pictures as any occur.

June 29, 2003 Begin my 43rd year on this planet.
June 28, 2003 I bought a new goldfish for myself! A calico Oranda, I saw "her" in Petsmart, I have vowed over and over not to buy fish from Petsmart, but I saw this fish a couple of weeks ago and went back today, not for fish, for replacement filters. The calico Oranda was still there, laying on the bottom of a tank on her side. I knew she wouldn't make it for more than a week without medication (fluke infestation, I could tell from the flashing/gasping/red gills). What could I do? I went home and set up a hospital tank in about 10 minutes and went back and got her. Her name is Flo (from the movie; Nemo). Salted the tank to .3%, Droncit, and antibiotic food. She is laying on the bottom of the tank, but upright. Cross your fingers, god she is a beautiful fish. (really skinny though)-hope she makes it
June 24, 2003 saw Eagles at Pepsi Center. Peter's bro; Tim gave us REALLY GREAT tickets for our BD's (row 16 center). (My BD is on the 29th, like I said before, Peter's is on the 20th). Loads of old f*(^^'ckr's with grey hair and ponytails. P didn't know Glen Frey from Don Henley, but I had a ton of fun. P did too, just watching. Joe Walsh totally rocked, worth everything to see him again.
June 20, 2003 Peter's 40th birthday. I feel terrible that we didn't do anything big, dinner tonight, party tomorrow. Don't feel like being around people or celebrating. (see previous entry)
June 19, 2003 my first Alanon meeting. We have a family member with an addiction. Several people have suggested that I go to Alanon for support-WOW-too many feelings to write right now. More (I think) later.
June 17, 2003 we saw Lou Reed at the Boulder Theatre tonight. Dang. He played a little old stuff: Velvet Underground, but mostly new from Raven. Reciting Poe to music is...magical, inspired, powerful...Lou Reeds' passion is unmatched as is his eloquence, a troubadour for the 21st century. Special Day and Raven were my favorites of the evening.
June 10, 2003 not done anything for quit some time. I am starting to get a few emails saying, "I saw your website". I feel compelled to update. I thought I would have something to say, I'm sort of veclemped, I can't believe anyone is looking at this. I wonder if they just look at the Goldfishcam and nothing else, is this a waste of time, no matter, it's good to journal for the soul. Anyway, maybe I will do some up keep, sort of therapy for me, for my soul....
May 11, 2003 it's Mother's Day and our anniversary; my 20th and our 6th respectively. Peter is so great, I got a “Mum’s” Day card from Oliver and an anniversary card from him. Peter always gets me two anniversary cards; one funny one and one mushy one. This year I just got one, while I was opening it I said, “guess the romance is gone, just one card this year?”…my bad, it was a sweet romantic card.
Mary Pat sent me and e-card that said "Motherhood is not for sissy's" too true! I'm not sure if the teens years are worse than the infant years, so far I won't miss either. I don't think that Mac is worse than Nyssa or Keely. I just think the girls have emerged from the other side and are great now and we are in the middle of this with Mac. Maybe it's just growing pains, mine and Mac's, at least I hold on to that thought.
May 10, 2003 Uncle Don died, the World will be a less interesting place without him
May 9, 2003 Presented this site in class today. Went OK, after seeing everyone else's I was a little embarrassed. I have a lot to learn. One thing was kind of funny, I was showing my goldfish cam to the class and this guy says, "do you ever catch them doing anything naughty?"
May 8, 2003 I thought my first entry should be a shout out to Keely and Peter for helping me with this site. Keely helped with goldfish pictures; she was really funny. As anyone who has ever tried to take a picture of a goldfish knows, it isn’t easy. You take about 100 pictures and maybe one turns out. I was trying to build this site and had practically 0 decent pictures of the fish-I was getting really frustrated! Keely says, “give me the camera, you just finish the site”. Well, about an hour later and over 160 pictures (thank god for digital cameras) she had 6 or 7 good pictures. Honestly, almost none of the pictures we have taken do the fish justice, but, it’s a start. Thanks Keely, you are great!
And Peter; thanks so much for your help especially with the “goldfish cam”. Also for my “special tutoring lessons”, (nod, nod, wink, wink, say no more). Seriously, it was so good to see how you organize your code; your thinking is logical and concise and helped me to understand HTML and not be so overwhelmed. Spanks!
